Puyang City has been approved as a pilot city for the national biofuel export "whitelist," with Junheng designated as a pilot enterprise and granted an annual approved export capacity of 240,000 tons. This marks a significant joint achievement for Henan Province, Puyang City, and Junheng in the field of high-end and industrialized development of biomass energy.
Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), also known as biofuel, is produced from waste vegetable oil, cooking oil, and other discarded animal and plant oils through advanced technology to achieve "waste-to-resource" transformation. It serves as the core pathway for the aviation industry to achieve its "dual carbon" goals. China has implemented a strict "access system" for its production and sales. The current national SAF "white list" pilot policy allows eligible enterprises to conveniently apply for export licenses within approved production capacities, breaking through traditional refined oil export restrictions and providing a broader platform for SAF to enter global markets.
The biofuel production process technology is a crucial core project independently developed by Junheng Bio through self-funding and overcoming challenges over five years, with independent intellectual property rights. This technology breaks international technical monopolies and leads domestically and globally in aspects such as feedstock adaptability and product yield. In January 2024, it obtained the SAF airworthiness certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, making Junheng Bio the first private enterprise in China to achieve this certification.
